Hi! I’m Travis. I live in Melbourne, Australia, and I’m a radio presenter, radio producer, sometime webcast presenter, and social media geek. I’m an enthusiastic, energetic person who is willing to learn and prepared to work hard and take direction to get where I want to be in life. I am pursuing a career in the media, and I love new music.

You can contact me here and I’ll get an email straight away. Make sure to leave your contact details, and I’ll be in touch.

I started in radio on January 1, 2005, at the age of 15. Yep, I started young.
Since then, I’ve hosted shows like:

idolthreat, a popular web show about The X Factor Australia,
New and Approved, SYN’s flagship new music show (three series),
Sketchy at Best, SYN’s longest running summer-only show (six series)
The Travis Butler Show, an incredibly imaginatively titled vanity project (two series)
Get Cereal, SYN’s breakfast show,
along with outside broadcasts at Oak Park Aquatic Centre, the Myer Melbourne Central Basement store, the Hoyts Melbourne Central 1st Birthday Party, and the Melbourne Community Digital Radio Launch for SYN.

I also produce several shows for SYN’s training program, Schools on Air. Short version: I teach young people (generally year 9-12) how to make their own radio show. This often involves panel operating, reminding kids about things it’s probably not a good idea to say on air, showing how to operate the panel, and stepping in when things break down/crash. I was awarded SYN’s “Trainer of the Year” award in 2009 for my efforts.

You’ll find here a selection of my recent work. This page occasionally updates with new highlights to check out.
